Story of My Dress began with the dream of creating a safe and friendly space to encourage brides to be themselves. What started out as 20 vintage wedding dresses bought from a theatre company and a head full of ideas has turned into a beautiful and cosy Kent bridal shop, our own collections of modern bridal designs, and incredible stocked designer & For Love - the dream becoming a reality. To finish your bridal look we have our handmade collection of veils, bows & capes. 

Though our roots will always be in vintage wedding dresses – the intricate details, beautiful fabrics, and the feeling of it being totally one-of-a-kind – I hated the sizing being so small and therefore so exclusionary.

With a fire in my belly for bridal fashion and a passion for making brides feel confident in their bodies, I knew expanding the range was the way to go.

With the help of my incredible team of dressmakers we have now created our own Story of My Dress collections, beautiful bridal separates and wedding dresses inspired by our original collection and using local suppliers too.

 

Originally, the ‘stories’ of my wedding dresses were those of the dresses’ pasts, but now it’s evolved to be yours and your dress’ story. From start to completion, your wedding dress is treated with the utmost care. We offer in-house embroidery, meaning we can make you a personalised wedding dress with heartfelt, special touches. A modern wedding dress deserves a relaxed and friendly wedding dress shopping experience, which is what we’re so proud to offer at Story Of My Dress Bridal.

All of our stunning dresses and accessories offer our brides a one-of-a-kind, stylish alternative to the traditional, in a friendly one-on-one setting. Nothing about you is traditional, so nothing about us is either – we can’t wait to meet you!
